Campaign Goal

It is essential we raise $150,000 to support Indiana's civic education programs in 2012. Giving online is easy and secure. 

The volunteer support from attorneys throughout Indiana has provided a solid base for continuing the We the People programs statewide.  More than 6,000 students currently learn about the U.S. Constitution with this educational model. Improving attorneys’ awareness of the programs will increase the programs’ profiles in the legal, education and legislative communities.  Increased awareness among these groups will garner attention to a vital subject rarely taught in today’s schools.

How does your donation help?

• $150 will fund transportation for one team of 30 students to attend a district or state competition. Twelve teams participate in the State Finals.
• $500 will buy a set of We The People textbooks for a team of high school seniors.
• $1,500 will fund a district competition where teams can display their knowledge of the U.S. Constitution. There are nine district competitions in Indiana.

The Indiana Bar Foundation is the only charity led by your peers acting on your behalf working to improve the public's knowledge of the issues our profession is dedicated to supporting. Working together with each of us doing our fair share, we can make civic education a reality for more Indiana students.
